Dargaville Community Pool Gets Funding Boost

The Kauri Coast Community Pool Trust is very pleased to announce that it has received a $750,000 grant from the Lottery Community Facilities Fund and a further $10,000 grant from the Sir John Campbell Residuary Estate for the construction of a 50 metre swimming pool in Dargaville.

Chair of the Kauri Coast Community Pool Trust, Vern Stevens, says the pool will be the only one this size north of Auckland.

”This is a fantastic addition to the funds the Trust has already received from Kaipara District Council and Northland Regional Council.

“This will be a great facility for the entire Northland region. The swimming pool will benefit the people of Kaipara and the local district. Having the addition of the hydrotherapy pool means even more people in the community will enjoy it,” he says.
