In line with their other environmentally friendly endeavours, Just Water are on a journey to reduce the plastic in their business, and one of the first things they have done is to discontinue the sale of single-use plastic cups, as part of a campaign to reduce the amount of single-use plastic waste in the environment.

“We won’t save the world by ourselves,” said Just Water’s Founder,Tony Falkenstein, “but if we all do our little bit to reduce this environmental damage, the world will be a better place”. Just Water has also launched a campaign in press and social media to encourage other companies to reduce their usage of single-use plastic,

Just Water encourage the use of reusable drink bottles by making them available to their customers,  an alternative which is both biodegradable and decompostable. To reduce the impact on the environment, Just Water’s great tasting water is delivered in 15 litre refillable delivery bottles, which are returnable and 100% recyclable – all aimed at keeping them out of landfills. This potentially removes up to 30 drink bottles from landfill.

Their latest  product promotes the elimination of any cups at all. Their ‘My Wally’ bottles are thermo-lined (meaning they keep their contents cold (or hot) for up to 18 hours, and they are personalised, so you can have your name on them, if purchased through the Just Water website at www.mywally.co.nz  Each refill means one less plastic bottle.

Tony and the team at Just Water wish everyone a great holiday season and a ‘plastic free’ 2019.
