Police officer jumps from helicopter to save swimmer
Police were advised of a swimmer in difficulties approximately 50 metres off the beach.
The Police helicopter attended and realising the swimmer was having trouble staying afloat until the Police launch could arrive.
One of the Police constables jumped from the helicopter into the sea and was able to help the swimmer until the Police launch arrived.
Neither person suffered any injury but the young swimmer was taken to hospital for a precautionary medical examination.
