Witnesses sought to car accident

On the evening of the 2nd of April 2008 there was a serious car accident on the Williams Street and Main North Road just north of Kaiapoi.

It happened at about 9pm when two cars were believed to be travelling at excessive speed south towards Kaiapoi, and resulted in a white Nissan Silvia losing control near the Kaiapoi Golf Club, crashing into a lamp post.

Police in Kaiapoi would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the speeding cars or been at the crash site prior to Police attending the accident
