Yesterday Council staff were delighted to receive the sign off for the Code of
Compliance Certificate for the Cromwell Swim Centre redevelopment.

“LHT Design, Breens Construction and many others have done a fantastic job in
contributing to this community asset. All generations will enjoy it into the future,”
says Anne Pullar District Development Manager at Central Otago District
Council.

The redevelopment consists of a dedicated therapeutic pool, spa and toddler’s
pool as well as a fitness centre.

“Having the added features means we can now cater for both the competitive
lane swimmers and fitness buffs, but also for those looking for the play factor and
therapeutic benefits,” said District Aquatic Centres, Manager Nicola Smith.

To mark the occasion the official opening will be held on Thursday 1 May at
7.30am with a breakfast.

Members of the community are welcome to attend and
can RSVP to Evelyn Bisset on 03 445 0211 by 28 April.

Then on Saturday 3 May
there will be a swim for free day from 9am to 6pm.
