Top band playing this Friday at youth concert 'Do it to it'

The countdown has started to the youth concert ‘DO IT TO IT’ being held this Friday (30 May) at the Taupo Events Centre, with national band SPACIFIX confirmed to play.

The Taupo Youth Council, in conjunction with the Youth Café for Health ‘Extreme’ team, is holding this free concert to celebrate and acknowledge our local youth as part of nationwide Youth Week, which starts today.

The Youth Council has managed to secure some impressive musical acts for the evening including:

 

· SPACIFIX

Spacifix is the most exciting band in New Zealand today. Their music is original, fresh and challenging - a no rules approach to musical genre has the band moving effortlessly from funk to reggae to R&B, hip-hop and rock. Their lyrics are positive and inspirational and their optimism is always present in the songs construction and delivery. Spacifix stage show is a high energy, original and exhilarating experience.

 

· Mingoss

Local Taupo Band

 

· Unconscious Thoughts

· Midnight Sun

(Taupo Nui-a-Tia Bands)

 

· Siezefire

· Rezolute

· Grooved and Epic

(Tauhara College Bands)

 

The concert kicks off at 5pm this Friday night. It is a smoke-free event with non alcoholic drinks and food available.

 

Parents can be assured that this will be a secure environment for youth. The concert is restricted to 12 - 18 year olds, security will be on hand and the doors will be closed between 7 and 10pm.
