Fatal accident in Upper Hutt

9.30am - Emergency services are in attendance at a fatal traffic incident on Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt, outside St Patricks College.

Exact details of what happened are not yet known. Both lanes are closed at this stage. Traffic is being diverted away from the southern end of Fergusson Drive at Field Street and is also been directed away at the Silverstream lights at the northern end.

Motorists are advised to avoid travelling on Fergusson Drive at all and should use Moonshine Road if heading in either direction.
