The Inquiry team received another anonymous letter over the weekend. Detective Inspector John Winter said that it was from a different author from the first anonymous letter and that it contained very general information that would need to be followed up on. It related to events well after the time frame that Mr Kim went missing, and its significance could not be gauged at present.

Analysis of events in the Westport area during the September-December period of 2003 was now underway as police attempted to identify any activity or persons that may have been connected to Mr Kim's disappearance. The focus was on narrowing the timeframe within which he went missing after his last banking transaction on the 29th September.

D/I Winter said a small team would continue to operate from Westport this week. He re-iterated that those in possession of information that might be helpful to the inquiry team would not get into trouble for withholding that information, but that he sought their co-operation in order to move the enquiry forward.

Police still sought information from anyone who might have seen , or picked up an Asian hitch-hiker in the Westport/Charleston area during the relevant period.
