Frosts and winter conditions in Canterbury

Police wish to advise that the Waimakariri Bridge on State highway 1 near Kaiapoi has a heavy frost and is currently covered in ice.

Foulton Hogan are gritting the road and warning signs are in place.

Please 'Slow down and drive to the conditions', as this area and most of the South Island is effected by frost and icy conditions.
