FEILDING residents are being advised to conserve water on Monday (August 4) as Manawatu District Council undergoes urgent repairs on the trunk watermain in Kimbolton Road.

The conservation period runs from 7.30am to 6pm.

Water Manager, Wayne Spencer, said discoloured water may be experienced during the day and householders experiencing this are asked to flush water through their taps for five minutes.

Mr Spencer said flushing of the mains would be undertaken after the necessary repairs were completed.

Residents are asked to contact the Manawatu District Council should the discolouration of water not clear.

“The council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause,” said Mr Spencer.
