Taupo visitor industry takes up the challenge!

Following on from the Taupo District Visitor Industry Forum held at the Great Lake Centre on Friday 3 October, representatives from Enterprise Lake Taupo, Lake Taupo Tourism Advisory Board and its visitor industry sector groups, met with a view to establishing a ‘TASK FORCE,’ to drive ahead and take up the challenge to review the issues raised at the forum and develop an Action Plan.

 

The Task Force will work collaboratively to address the issues and develop the appropriate strategies to lift the current level of visitor activity in the Taupo District.

 

Expressions of interest will be sought from anyone with a vital interest in the visitor industry, to join the Task Force. An inaugural meeting will be held once this has been formed. Advertising to promote interest will commence immediately.

 

All those within the District who believe they can provide input to the work of the Task Force are encouraged to respond to the advertising, and register their interest to make a positive contribution to the growth of the Taupo District Visitor Industry.
