Rotorua Police want to hear from anyone with information about two kayakers who were seen on Lake Rotorua between Ngongotaha and Mokoia Island in atrocious weather at about 11.30 this morning.
Police received calls from concerned members of the public and a four-hour search was conducted by Coastguard, helicopter and Harbour Master jet ski. The search failed to locate anyone and police are hoping that the pair made it safely to shore.
Rotorua police want to hear from anyone who was out on the lake this morning or anyone who may know of people planning a trip and who are now overdue.
