Levin Aquatic centre has a new look.

After three months of watching the Levin Aquatic Centre get a make over the day finally arrived on Saturday for the official opening. The make over included retiling of the pools, a brand new reception area and plant room along with a fresh paint job.

A huge number of the local community were there for the official opening and enjoyed using the upgraded facility. Sue Martin, Swim School & Events Coordinator at the Aquatic centre comments “The day went really well, the feedback about the new facility from everyone has been really enthusiastic.”

“The Levin Aquatic Centre with its new look offers a huge range of programs that cater for everyone and is a great asset for the Levin Community to have. So being push play month we should use the upgraded facility to help us get and stay active”. Says Sport Horowhenua District Coordinator Ra Jarden Osborne

The More FM team was also at the official opening helping with a sausage sizzle in which they managed to sell to well over 500 hungry mouths.
 

The Aquatic centre is open on Monday to Thursday 6am – 8.45pm, Friday 6am – 5.45pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am – 5.45pm. The Levin Aquatic centre is located on Queen street in Levin.
