Tickets On Sale For Events Of The Summer

Tickets for the 2009 ASB Classic and Heineken Open are now on sale with demand expected to be high for the two weeks of tennis and the most prestigious sporting events in New Zealand.
The women’s US$225,000 ASB Classic featuring the Kia Motors singles and doubles will be held 5-10 January 2009 at the ASB Tennis Centre. Qualifying 3-4 January at the same venue.
So far two players have been confirmed for the tournament – Olympic champion and world No5, Elena Dementieva of Russia and 13th ranked Caroline Wozniacki(Denmark).
The Heineken Open featuring the Sovereign singles and doubles worth over US$400,000 will be held 12-17 January at the ASB Tennis Centre. Qualifying will be played at the North Harbour Tennis Centre 10-11 January.
Top-quality players for the Heineken Open will be confirmed in the next few weeks.
Both events can sellout. The public are encouraged to get in quick to guarantee a place at these major events of the summer.
