Environment Waikato says it is pleased bus services in Hamilton are now back to normal following the end of a pay dispute between bus company Go Bus and drivers who belong to the Northern Distribution Workers Union.

“We would like to thank passengers for their support and patience during the dispute,” said EW’s land transport operations manager Bevan Dale.

Mr Dale said all Hamilton’s buses were again operating a full schedule of services, meaning an end to a slight reduction in peak hour services, a significant cut to off-peak services, and having no buses after 7pm during the week.

“As for the future, we will look to maintain a constructive relationship with Go Bus, and with all of its drivers, through their representatives.”
