The homicide investigation into the suspicious death of a 78 year old local man John Alan ROWE who died overnight on Monday 24-Tuesday 25 November 2008 at his home address in Windsor Street, Opotiki continues.
Detective Inspector Rob Jones says 'police have executed two search warrants this morning at local addresses searching for items of property which could be linked to the death of Mr ROWE. Police did not locate any items that assist them with the investigation. In addition, two individuals have been spoken to in connection with the investigation. Both have since been released without charge. A number of other people have been interviewed in an attempt to identify if they or anyone they know has any knowledge regarding the attack on the victim. Police continue with their investigation at the scene in Windsor Street.'
