Fatal Crash in Waikato District, 11:00pm 6 Dec

At about 10:55 pm this evening a car traveling on SH26 lost control and collided with a bridge in the vicinity of Thames Street Morrinsville.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was trapped inside the vehicle with critical injuries.

The driver died at the scene.

Fire, Ambulance and the Police Serious Crash Unit are at the scene.

SH26 at this location is currently closed.
