At about 8.30pm on 21/12/08 a helicopter that was aerial spraying in Boundary Rd, Rolleston, Canterbury has hit high tension power lines.
As a result the wires have come down alongside a road.
The helicopter landed safely and subsequently took off again.
Police have now spoken to the pilot concerned and the matter has been referred to the Civil Aviation Authority.
The local power authority has been called out to repair the lines.
