7yr old boy - crash fatality in Northland District, 8:00pm 27 Dec 2008

A seven-year-old boy has died on a rural property in Whangaruru, Northland after a vehicle rolled.
At about 8pm last night Police and St John Ambulance were called to an address on Russell Rd, Whangaruru following an incident in which a vehicle had rolled on a farm property.
The child had been thrown from and crushed by the vehicle.
The vehicle is believed to have been driven by a family associate.
Police officers, including the Serious Crash Unit and Iwi Liaison, have attended the scene and persons at the address are assisting Police with their inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the child's death.
