Indian batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh Karthik have been confirmed to play in today's International Masters Game - the curtain-raiser to the Twenty20 International between India and New Zealand at Westpac Stadium, Wellington.

The pair, who are not playing in India's Twenty20 squad, have been drafted into the New Zealand and Australian Masters teams after discussions with the New Zealand Cricket Players Association. Tendulkar will turn out for the Samsung NZCPA Masters, while Karthik will wear the ACA Masters colours.

India coach Gary Kirsten said "this is a great opportunity for Tendulkar and Karthik to have a few hits - we were happy to work with the Players Association to bring them in to the masters teams."

The International Masters Game starts at Westpac Stadium at 2.30pm. Tickets to the Twenty20 International between India and New Zealand cover admission to both games.
