Young leaders wanted

Whakatane District Council Mayor, Colin Holmes is calling for nominations of any young person who exhibit some leadership potential to attend the 4th annual Aspiring Leaders’ Forum in Wellington on 30 July- 2 August 2009.

The Leaders Forum is aimed at young people aged between 18 and 30 years who have shown a high potential for leadership. At the forum the young leaders will share their views on how faith and values informs their understanding and practice of leadership.

The Forum’s overriding aim is to encourage the development of future leaders.

Mr Holmes says this an opportunity for young aspiring leaders to network with both aspiring and established leaders, through which they can continue to support and encourage each other into the future.
