HAMILTON

Members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force parachute display team Kiwi Blue will be dropping in on race goers during the Hamilton V8 Supercar race this weekend in Hamilton.

While cars race around the track, Kiwi Blue will be racing in from the sky with their Air Force parachutes creating an eye-catching display.

“This weekend is going to be a big day out for car enthusiasts and we are looking forward to be part of the fun,“ said Squadron Leader and Kiwi Blue team member Darryn Pritchard.

Kiwi Blue will be showcasing their skills on Saturday at 2.35pm and on Sunday at 1.50pm.

Notes for Editors: One of the most visual aspects of the Parachute Training and Support Unit is the displays carried out by the Air Force Parachute display team Kiwi Blue.

Comprising members of the staff of PTSU, the team performs at airshows, open days and other events where the Air Force participates. The team has carried out displays overseas in Australia and the United Kingdom.
