AOS Call out in Hamilton

At about 2.50pm Police were advised of a male in Palmer Street who had threatened to self harm with a firearm. He failed to respond to appeals at the address and AOS responded. He eventually came to the door to speak with Police Negotiators. He was arrested for misuse of a telephone. The offender was found to be intoxicated but uninjured. No firearm was found at the scene. Police had cordoned off the surrounding streets, and traffic was blocked off for approximately two hours.
