4pm - Police and emergency services are presently at the scene of a serious accident 20 kilometres north of Taupo on State Highway 1. Diversons are in place from Tirohanga road SH1 from the north of the accident and Oruanui from the South. Delays are expected for up to 4 to 5 hours. The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance.

Police and emergency services are still at the scene of a serious crash on SH1 just north of Taupo. Diverons are in place for SH1 and will ream in place for a furhter 2 to 3 hours.
