Land Search and Rescue in Waitemata District, 10:00pm 25 Apr 2009

At about 8.00pm this evening Police were notified of a male who had gone missing whilst walking out of the Kirikiri bay area on the west coast by Muriwai beach.

A 26 year old male was walking with a companion along the Te henga walkwway after an afternoon of diving.

They had become separated and efforts to locate the missing male failed.

Police Search and Rescue and Westpac are presently searching for the male who is known to suffer from bipolar disorder.
