Kiwi Wins Medals In Korea

New Zealand Paralympic shooter Michael Johnson has recorded a three-medal haul from the 2009 IPC Shooting Open Asian Championship at the Jikji Cup in South Korea.

 

The Auckland 35-year-old who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing won a gold in the R9 50metre .22 rifle in Korea along with a silver in the R4 10metre Air rifle standing and a bronze in the R5 10metre Air rifle prone.

 

Christchurch’s Grant Philip finished ninth in the R4 and R5 event with two personal bests and attaining two Paralympic minimum qualifying scores just missing out on the final of both competitions by just one point.
