Council looking for economic development experts

Taupo District Council is looking for a suitable person to work with Enterprise Lake Taupo (ELT) – the district’s economic development agency.

Council is calling for nominations for the role of trustee on the ELT board. Nominations close at 5.00pm Monday 11 May.

ELT is an independent trust who set the direction for economic development in the district. They are responsible for implementing the Economic Development Action Plan in Taupo which includes organising business awards and forums, promoting business investment, carrying out advocacy and promoting cooperation between organisations in the district.

Taupo District Council has the opportunity to appoint one person to the Trust. The position is voluntary and is open to anybody with the appropriate knowledge and skills. Interested parties should contact Taupo District Council on 07 376 0899.
