Brent Colbert appointed Microsoft Partner Group Director

Microsoft New Zealand today announced the appointment of Brent Colbert to the newly created role of director partner group. His new role began 1 June.
Colbert’s core responsibility will be to deliver on Microsoft’s business partner strategy and management of Microsoft’s total partner ecosystem.
“The background Brent brings to this new position will be a significant asset,” said Kevin Ackhurst, managing director, Microsoft New Zealand. “He brings a wealth of experience to our business partner programme and how we engage with those that resell Microsoft software, services and solutions.”
Brent joined Microsoft over five years ago and most recently was director of business, marketing and operations for New Zealand, responsible for developing and delivering Microsoft’s local marketing strategy.
Before joining Microsoft Colbert held a number of roles within Telecom and Xtra before joining Microsoft New Zealand in 2004.
