According to independent Qualmark assessment reports received this week, both Taupo and Turangi i-SITEs are amongst the highest in the country.

Both i-SITEs received glowing Qualmark reports. Qualmark is New Zealand tourism’s official mark of quality and is jointly owned by Tourism NZ and AA. Tourism businesses that carry the Qualmark have been independently assessed as professional and trustworthy so travellers can use their services with confidence. Categories that are measured include customer service, facilities and equipment, staff, cultural considerations and business and tourism operations.

Within the assessment, the Taupo i-SITE was complimented on layout of the sales and brochure area and the hands-on management style. The Turangi i-SITE’s spacious central layout and DOC display impressed the assessor and the long-serving, fully qualified staff were acknowledged.

Taupo District Council’s Deputy CEO Anne McLeod said this high commendation from Qualmark is a result of the staff’s commitment to customer service. “Our i-SITE teams work hard to provide a ‘100% pure welcome’ for all visitors to the Taupo district and this has been recognised and acknowledged within these endorsements.”
