Healthy home ventilation specialist HRV New Zealand has been officially accepted into the Sensitive Choice programme by the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand.

The programme helps people with asthma and allergies by identifying companies and products committed to reducing asthma and allergy triggers.

“We are very proud to be recognised as part of the Sensitive Choice programme. It provides further evidence that the HRV system is a valuable tool in assisting people who suffer from allergies or asthma,” said Marcus Foot, director HRV New Zealand.

Many New Zealand homes are poorly insulated and lack proper heating or ventilation which aggravates conditions such as asthma. The HRV home ventilation system takes free, warm air from the roof cavity which is filtered and circulated throughout the home. It expels stale air and removes dust and pollutants making for a drier and healthier home.

Jane Patterson, executive director Asthma and Respiratory Foundation, supports the efforts of HRV New Zealand to create a healthier home for asthma and allergy sufferers.
“The HRV system is another way of helping people with asthma and allergies deal to improve their home environment,” said Patterson.

Every product accepted into the programme is assessed by the Product Advisory Panel and is marked with a butterfly – a gentle creature which flies best in fresh air.
