New water main for Acacia Bay

The installation of a new pressurised water main in Acacia Bay is to begin within four weeks.

The 1.6km water main will carry water from Taupo District Council’s pump station Wakeman Road up to the Cherry Lane Reservoir.

The new main will be installed with a combination of trenchless technology and open trench methods.

Council’s TKMP (northern rating area) committee awarded the contract for the project to HEB Construction on the basis of price, relevant experience, track record, management and technical skills, resources and methodology.
