Thysen Churcher the writer and producer of the Time for Dreaming Lullabies CD will be performing the songs from his CD at the Papakura Baby Bug Store www.babybug.co.nz on August the 29th at 2pm.

After interviewing kiwi parents and child care givers about children and sleep, the New Zealand musician created a sleep tool box for today’s parent and child.
The music gently calms and relaxes with the tempo and volume reducing as the CD progresses.
The messages reassure sleep to be a natural, creative and safe place. The subject matter of the songs is about sleep and give parents examples for educating about sleep.
The music is presented with a soft loving voice accompanied by acoustic guitar.

When asked how the music can be used to reassure and educate, Mr Churcher refers to the third song on the CD called “Sleepy Kitty”.
“Cats are very common in kiwi homes and provide a good example of what sleep looks like. Singing about how peaceful and safe a sleeping cat looks reassures sleep to be a peaceful and safe place by example. Parents can further use this example to educate a child that is resisting falling asleep due to uncertainty of where they are going when asleep."

The CD has recently received a five star review from www.coffeegroup.org
Mr Churcher receives regular feedback via the Time for Dreaming website www.timefordreaming.co.nz , the following is typical.

“What a great piece of work !!! Beautifully simple, but from somewhere far more complex”

“…definitely above and beyond, the lullabies CD has made bed time and off to sleep a pleasant process”
