Sellers Ready for Ticket Rush to Cliff Richard and The Shadows

Public presales of tickets to the February concerts of Cliff Richard and The Shadows start this Friday (7 August).
NPDC Manager Business Development – Events Garry Sharpe-Young says there has been huge enthusiasm among fans since the announcement of the concerts at New Plymouth’s TSB Bowl of Brooklands, Auckland’s Vector Arena and Christchurch’s Westpac Arena.
“Although we can’t give numbers, an enormous number of people have gone onto an online wait-list through Ticketek to register their interest in buying tickets to the Bowl concert,” says Mr Sharpe-Young.
“As the only outdoor venue on the tour, the Bowl has attracted a lot of interest from concert-goers.
“I have to say that from just walking around town, there are a lot of fans of Cliff Richard and The Shadows. Many people have come up to me to talk about the show and the age range of the fans is huge.”
This tour marks 50 years since Sir Cliff Richard first recorded and performed with The Shadows, and is the first time they have toured New Zealand as a group since 1961.
Visa premium presales are available from this Friday until the following Tuesday (11 August), with My Ticketek presales on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 August. The remaining tickets go on sale to the general public from 9.00am on Friday 14 August through www.ticketek.co.nz or 0800 TICKETEK.
