Proof that real estate excellence exists in the provinces was highlighted by Bayleys Gisborne taking out two of the top awards at the Bayleys National Conference held recently in Rotorua.

Bayleys Gisborne was presented with The Bayleys Way Office Award which honours the office that conducts itself in the manner most appropriate to the way the founder of Bayleys, Graham Bayley, would have wanted.

“This award recognizes the office that embraces the underlying values and ethos that Graham Bayley had in mind when he started Bayleys 36 years ago,” says David Poole, General Manager of Bayleys Realty Group, adding that Bayleys has 56 offices throughout New Zealand and one in Fiji.

“Bayleys Gisborne was a steady supporter of our marketing portfolios throughout the year, they have created an office environment admired by those in the wider real estate market and the local community relies on their professionalism across the residential, country and commercial/industrial real estate sectors. That characterises a great office and this award is highly-deserved.”

Further, owner and director of Bayleys Gisborne, James MacPherson, was awarded the prestigious Graham Bayley Award, the highest non-selling award to an individual that Bayleys bestows. It is presented to individuals who have provided excellent service to the company and have contributed to the company’s culture, performance and professional standing, upholding those values Graham Bayley laid down when he founded the company back in 1973.

Mr MacPherson has been selling real estate for 15 years and was instrumental in bringing the Bayleys franchise to the Gisborne region seeing huge benefits to be gained by being aligned to New Zealand’s number one seller of premium properties.

“I am lucky to have been supported not only by the Bayleys brand on a broad level over the years, but by a loyal and stable team here in Gisborne. It is testimony to the trust and confidence that our vendors have in us that we have negotiated the majority of the largest real estate transactions in the Gisborne area. That has been a privilege and something we do not take for granted,” says Mr MacPherson.

Despite the current economic conditions both nationally and globally, Bayleys Gisborne reports sound results over the last six months with high-profile marketing campaigns and comprehensive working of databases bringing buyers and sellers together.

“While sales volumes are still quite inconsistent, activity levels are high and properties that are marketed well are generating good enquiry and resulting in sales,” says Mr MacPherson.
