St Peters swimming academy under challenge

The academy had last time trial before NZ Spring championships in Christchurch in September.

9 swimmers from the elite squad ( supported by TYRE TRAIDERS CAMBRIDGE) travel to Auckland to compete at Auckland Winter championships. 31 swim team from all over North Island 466 swimmers with number of world class swimmers.

This was challenge from the start. The academy had approached the meet with extremely slow start with only 1 personal best time in first event. Our swimmers just come of Waikato championships where they performed externally well and now they were expected to repeat the performance. This is hard task for everyone.

After the first event we pick up the pace and step up in performance and the magic start to unfold.

Our swimmers had to swim fast to achieve Top 8 position as this is going to be important part at the NZ Spring championships. The age groups 13-14yrs ,15-16 and 17yrs/O were difficult .

We had to watch the individual age as this was our target.
