Work to commence on new Acacia Bay water main

The installation of a new pressurised water main in Acacia Bay will begin on 7 September on Wakeman Road.

 

The new 1.6km water main will carry water from Taupo District Council’s pump station on Wakeman Road up to the Cherry Lane Reservoir, and involves both open trench methods and new trenchless technology.

 

Residents have been informed of the work, which is expected to take approximately 12 weeks.

 

HEB Construction, who will be carrying out the work, said some inconvenience can be expected, but every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
