Death Tapuetahi Beach, Northland.

At about 1p.m today Police and emergency services responded to a person in difficulty at Tapuetahi Beach, Far North.

On arrival it was ascertained that a male in his late 20s had been under water for some time.
CPR was administered however the man did not respond.

Preliminary indications are that the man may have suffered from a medical condition and has then fallen into the water.

Police have identified the person and are presently with family. Further information will be available
at a later date.
