Man found shot is named

A 32-year-old man found dead with a gunshot wound in Palmerston North yesterday afternoon (Friday, 4 September) has been named as Jamie Martin Faulkner who lived in the city.

Mr Faulkner's body has now been removed from the grounds of a block of flats in Heretaunga Street and a post mortem examination will take tomorrow in Wellington.

The road has also now re-opened and all residents are back in their homes, but a small area is still sealed off and the full scene examination is expected to take another two days. Area enquiries are also still continuing.
