Experience NZ Cup & Show Week

Every year in Christchurch, thousands travel from around the globe to experience New Zealand Cup & Show Week. This uniquely Canterbury occasion offers the chance to experience premier racing, fashion, food and entertainment. In an action-packed week, you can don fabulous fashions, get a taste of rural life at the country’s Royal A&P Show, local produce and wine, have a flutter at the horses or Greyhounds at New Zealand’s biggest and most prestigious racing event, dance to live music or see the country’s most popular indoor International Rodeo.

International Rodeo is New Zealand’s largest rodeo held indoors at Westpac arena(Christchurch)annually as the grand finale of Cup & Show week on 14th November 2009. Competitors from Australia,USA,Canada and Brazil will compete with kiwis for the rodeo domination in bareback bronc, saddle bronc and bull riding. There will also be a New Zealand barrel racing championship in the line-up.

As always the promoters of the International Rodeo have promised to deliver an even better event in 2009 with more special effects, more action, more entertainment, and an all new sequence of events, with the rodeo now boasting a full thrown concert for the open and close, as well as brand new entertainers and stunts throughout the event.

This event take the sport to a level like never before with the use of sound & lighting effects , pyrotechnics, LPG flamethrowers and explosives which ensure a sold out crowd every year
