Follow that car! To the Top Gear Live Drive-Thru Ticket Booth where sales to the 2010 show go live before the rest of the country, and the world.

On Friday the 25th to celebrate the first release of ticket sales Top Gear Live will be providing New Zealand’s first ever Top Gear Live drive-thru Ticketek booth, so fans can simply roll up in their favourite vehicle, buy a ticket and drive off without leaving the car.

Overnight, a service station forecourt will be transformed into a ticketing drive-thru complete with Ticketek desk and a line-up of luxury cars – a free coffee for each driver to complete the package. What could be more convenient?

And what’s more, those keen drivers who turn up early will be able to beat the official online sales time by one hour (official ticket sales to the public start at 9:00am) and one lucky driver will walk away with two free tickets!

We’re expecting a colourful sight as dozens, perhaps hundreds of drivers find their way to Mt Eden to get their tickets and experience a little bit of Top Gear Live excitement at (we believe) the world’s first ever ticket sales drive-thru.

Top Gear Live is the world’s most famous motoring show.

When the Top Gear Live circus pulled into town in February this year, it rapidly sold out all 10 shows with thousands of enthusiastic fans flocking from all over the country to see the motoring thrills and spills, super-charged stunts and of course the infamous presenters Jeremy Clarkson and co.

Now Top Gear Live is returning to Auckland with a spectacular new show, to be held 18 - 21 February 2010 at the ASB Showgrounds, Auckland.

And when it returns in 2010 it brings a spectacular line-up of new attractions to keep the fans in Auckland on the edge of their seats.

In addition to an all new Top Gear Live Theatre Show and Motor Show, there will be an entire Festival of motoring to sample, including the Top Gear Live Track, with time trials and car parades; Marque Park, a display of the classic, the iconic and the bizarre; a Stunt School with top stunt drivers teaching the tricks of the trade; and Driver Experience where fans can get behind the wheel of some gorgeous and powerful vehicles.

Joining Jeremy Clarkson on tour next year will be James May, dubbed ‘Captain Slow’ by his co-presenters, and they will be joined on-stage by our own Greg Murphy, who played the role of third presenter (and the butt of all the sheep jokes) in this year’s edition of the show.

Murphy takes a new role as Festival Director and will be taking centre stage at the Festival, leading a fantastic team of talented drivers and a garage of top marques, some of which have never before been seen in New Zealand.

Tickets will go on general release at 9:00am on the 25th September 2009 through Ticketek www.ticketek.co.nz
