Armed bank robbery in Palmerston North

Today at 0940hrs, Police were called to an Armed Robbery at the ANZ Bank on Ruahine Street, Palmerston North. The offender left the scene in a vehicle which was spotted by police and followed to an address in Rangiora Avenue, where the offender stopped the vehicle and left on foot.
A short time later the offender was apprehended inside a house on Hulme Street by armed police.
