Misti Landtroop Appointed to Join Microsoft New Zealand

Microsoft New Zealand today announced the appointment of Misti Landtroop as Director Small, Midmarket Solutions and Partners. She will take up the role in November.
Currently based in the United States working from the Microsoft Redmond, Wash. campus, Misti will join the Auckland office to lead a team responsible for directing partner and business engagement, allocating resources, driving sales and identifying local market initiatives within the small- to medium-sized business segment.
“Microsoft New Zealand is one of the best performing subsidiaries in the world and I’m looking forward to building on the great foundation that has been laid by John Bessey. Learning from the local team, which includes Microsoft New Zealand partners and customers, will be my top priority ,” said Landtroop.

Misti joined Microsoft in 2001 and has more than 10 years of sales and marketing leadership experience in the IT industry. She is currently Chief of Staff for Allison Watson, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group. In addition to assisting in running the day to day operations of the business, Misti also led the worldwide initiative to enhance Microsoft partner satisfaction which included the launch of the first Partner Leadership Teams at Microsoft.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Misti spent time in the advertising and public relations fields, involved in managing sales teams, providing communications advisory and news reporting.
Misti has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus in business communication from Texas A&M University.
