Woman found in flames

At about 11.40 am yesterday (22 November 2009) a 26 year old female suffered severe burns to her body.

Residents located the woman in the driveway of an Addington street address in Christchurch, and used blankets and water to extinguish the flames that were engulfing her body.

The woman is being treated in Christchurch Hospital. Her condition is reported as serious.

No other persons are being sought in relation to this incident
