Two escape, one missing, after car crashes into Wanganui river

At about 9.45pm Wanganui Police received a report of a vehicle accident. The report was that a vehicle had left Somme Parade, Wanganui and crashed into the Wanganui River. Two occupants from the vehicle (an adult female and a 14 year old child) escaped the vehicle before it became fully submerged in the river. A third occupant (a 12 year old child) is currently missing. Police and Dive squad are currently on scene in an effort to locate the vehicle and the missing child.
