Centennial Drive, which was closed on Monday to allow bridge beams to be put in place on the new ETA route, was re-opened this morning (Tuesday 22 December) two days ahead of schedule.

After a successful day of lifting the new Centennial Drive Bridge beams into place, Fulton Hogan has been able to open the road earlier than expected minimising disruption to traffic.

“This is a fantastic result” said Andrew McRae Fulton Hogan Project Manager. “The work crews put in a huge effort yesterday working long hours ensuring the work was completed and Centennial Drive could open earlier. We certainly thank the local businesses and the general public for their patience and co-operation especially at this busy time of year”.

ETA project manager Ron Boyle says, "It is great to see the ETA Contractor putting in the effort at this busy time and opening Centennial Drive quickly, and to know that the local businesses and the general travelling public benefit from their efforts."
