Arson at Hornby Primary swimming pool

The Christchurch South Police want to hear from anyone who has information in relation to a deliberately lit fire in the girls toilet block of the Hornby Primary School swimming pool at about 4.10pm on Christmas Eve. A fire crew attended resulting in a small amount of damage.

Acting Detective Sergeant Freeman said " This fire was deliberately lit and young children or teenagers are likely to be responsible for this fire. They will come from the local area and may tell others of their exploits".
