The list of horses eligible to nominate for the 2008 Karaka Million has now been finalised with 336 two-year-olds set to battle for a chance to line-up in New Zealand's richest juvenile race.

The very first Karaka Million (Res.L) (1200m) for graduates of the Karaka Yearling Sales will be hosted at the Auckland Racing Club's Ellerslie racecourse on Sunday 27 January 2008, the eve of the 2008 Karaka Premier Sale.

The Twilight Meeting will comprise a six-race card with the feature race drawing on this list of eligible horses from the Premier, Select, Festival and Carnival sessions of the 2007 National Yearling Sales Series. The order of entry will be determined by prize money won up to the date of nominations.

The vendor of every horse that lines up in the race gets a slice of the one million dollar prize pool, with the vendor of the winning two-year-old receiving a cheque from New Zealand Bloodstock for $10,000.
