Fire closes roads

Police are currently assisting the Fire Service at a large scrub fire on the Eastern Hills of Lower Hutt.

Road closures are currently in place with Eastern Hutt Road closed at Peterkin Street and Cambridge Tce closed at Kowhai Street. The Wingate bridge is also closed.

Police advise motorists to avoid the area as there will be significant delays to traffic.
