Auckland cricket fans wanting to watch the BLACKCAPS take on Australia at Eden Park on March 6 are going to have to act quickly to secure their ticket.

Fewer than 1,500 tickets remain for public sale for the event in the reduced-capacity venue.

"Total public capacity at Eden Park for this event is only 10,783 and four weeks out from the match we are well on the way to posting the sold out sign," said New Zealand Cricket Commercial Manager, Peter Dwan.

"Australia is the most popular touring team to visit New Zealand and the Auckland cricket public have moved swiftly to pick up their tickets to the match on March 6,” he said. “This match will sell out shortly so we are encouraging fans to act now to avoid disappointment. Fortunately, we have two matches within that week at Eden Park, with a second ODI there on March 11."

Just over 4,000 tickets remain for sale to the March 11 match.
