Police have grave fears for the safety of Vanessa Anne PICKERING. Pickering has not been seen since leaving her home in New Brighton on Monday evening with her daughter (7 years). Pickering is thought to be in the company of Malcolm CHASTON, (aka Maniapoto WALKER).

Police have a warrant for CHASTON's arrest which relates to a sexual assault earlier on Monday 8 February 2010. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Pickering and /or Chaston should contact police immediately asks DSS Virginia Le Bas.

Vanessa Pickering is 27 years old, has blonde hair, and was wearing trousers and a brown jersey. Her daughter is currently being cared for by her family.

Chaston could be travelling in a blue/green Toyota Estima EFA 478.
